Whilst Greg and Bob went and did their early morning walk, Wendy did a few loads of washing. An early mornos was had before Wendy left in the Cruiser to refuel, do the Tropical Art Deco walk of Innisfail, and then do a grocery resupply shop.
Refuelling is not a pleasant experience these days, however, when it come in under $200 it is a bonus! It was then into the Woolies car park and then on foot for the walk. It is documented as a 3.8km walk, however, Wendy walked almost 5km. There are 28 buildings in the Art Deco walk, and Wendy captured 26 of them. The other two weren't worth a pic. The Art Deco facades were inspired by Italian, French, Spanish, Moroccan and Anglo-Saxon architecture. The traditional Art Deco architecture style was adapted to include wide awnings and peaked roofs to provide relief from heavy rain, meaning these buildings are distinctive and rarely seen anywhere else in the world.
Wendy happened to bump into Greg whilst he was out on the bike, but then went separate ways. Lunch was had when Wendy returned to the van. After a rest, Greg went for another ride with Bob to see if they could get out to Flying Fish Point, however, the road was a bit narrow, so they turned back. Wendy started on crocheting a beanie for Noeleene in black and white for her favourite AFL club, Collingwood.
Pre-dinner drinks were had on our pad. Dinner, blogging, and bed flowered.
