We both had a long sleep-in this morning - didn't wake up until 7am! After breakfasting and packing up, we were on the road at 8:50am. More than a little relieved to leave the relentless wind of Toowoomba behind. First stop was at Nobby, a little town off the highway. We were pleased that we made the detour, firstly for the coffee and then a look around.
Next stop was at Clifton, a little bigger than Nobby, with lots of photographic opportunities, so we stopped and had another wander. The last town on the way to Warwick was Allora, another little town that has been bypassed in recent times. Although also interesting, we didn't see as much to excite us, so we didn't stop.
We arrived at DJ's Caravan Park on the southside of Warwick just after midday and set up camp on site #12. Kev and Jo arrived not long after we did. Lunch was followed by a short rest, then we jumped on the bikes and rode into town via the back roads. We visited the Tourist Info Centre to get some info and then came home as it was still drizzling.
Pre-dinner drinks were had in the shelter next to K&J. Just as we were about to finish, a couple from over the road came to tell us how nice it was to see people using the shelter; they have been here for two months and have not seen anyone using it before.
Dinner, a bit of TV, then bed.
