12-20 deg C, cloudy to start the day, to blue sky, then a few clouds to end the day
A very sad day - we had to say goodbye to K&J; during the night, their fridge, that had been playing up previously, really did not want to play the game. They were up half the night trying to make it work on gas, but without any luck. We bid a very sad farewell to them after breakfast. Maybe, hopefully, they will get the fridge sorted and we will see them again sometime during our journey.
Greg and Bob went for an early morning dip in the hot springs while Wendy baked blackberry muffins for Bob's birthday cake. Noeleene provided the candles as we sang Happy Birthday. Bob blew the candles out in a very COVID Safe manner. He could have slobbered out the candles and then he would have had 6 muffins! Warm muffins fresh out of the oven; more birthdays please!
After mornos, we rode into town (Noel followed in the truck) and we visited the local Historical Museum, which was full of great displays of yesteryear. While the boys cruised around town on their bikes, the girls did some retail therapy. They ended up buying some clothes and then had pies for lunch. Back at the vans a short rest was had after lunch, then Greg and Bob went back to the hot pools for a final soak. Just maybe the goodness of all those minerals will regain some youth. One is allowed to dream!
A relaxing afternoon was had, before getting dressed into something a little more respectable, before having pre-dinner drinks. We then headed out to Hotel Richards (The Rock) for dinner. We all had very yummy meals served by a couple of bar maids from Estonia.
Back home to blog, shower, and bed.
