We were back on the road again, after a three day stopover, at 8:15 am. Bob's uncle mentioned that Bob's dad had alighted from a train at Hodgson railway station when he first arrived in Australia, We found the turn-off to Hodgson, however, there was no station alongside the rail line, so onwards we moved. Through Muckadilla and Amby (quick pit stop and photo op), we arrived at the Neil Turner Weir donation camp at 9:45am, just in time for mornos. After a quick set-up, we were all sipping on our brew of choice.
We then rode into town (3.5km) to check out the sights. We had stayed in Mitchell, for less than 24 hours back in 2020, and therefore did not see much. We rode along the main street, and saw a fair bit for such a small town. Back to the vans for lunch and a rest.
Everyone, except Wendy, went for a tub at the Great Artesian Spa. Not long after their return, pre-dinner drinks were consumed, before a rather chilly wind drove us all into our vans for dinner.
The road today was not too bad, with only a few km of rough roads to traverse.
