After breakfast, we went for a ride to see if we could safely get to the Causeway Lake without going on the busy roads. We had already determined it was not possible to get to Emu Park. Not far into the ride we came across the Farmers Market, had a quick look and then kept going. Next on the route was the Wreck Point Lookout. As you can guess from the word lookout, it was a little bit of a hike up the hill, however, the views were speccy, even though it was overcast. Onwards we cycled on an off-road path and made it to about 1km from the Causeway Lake when the off-road path ran out. As it was drizzling, we decided to head home as we did not want to chance it with the cars on the narrow road. On the way back we took a little detour to the Keppel Bay Marina. As we neared the van park, the drizzle eased up.
A quick change out of riding gear and then it was into the serious business of preparing coffees to have with the homemade raspberry muffins Wendy made on Thursday. We consumed our mornos next door with B&N and then went for a walk to Woolies for a few resupplies. We also had lunch at the food court before returning to the van for an LLD.
Greg went for another ride with Bob, then completed his exercise/stretch regime before getting ready to go out for dinner. We ate at The Spinnaker and the meals were very yummy. We walked home with full bellies.
The fireworks from the show started not long after we returned, however, the iPhone just does not capture fast moving light very well. Perhaps we are doing it wrong??
